Constructionline
Constructionline is one of the largest registers of contractors, consultants and material suppliers for the construction industry in the UK.
As a registered supplier, Grand Engineering can confirm to potential buyers and contractors the specifications and standards of PAS 91 have been met, thus eliminating the requirement for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ’s), saving both our clients and ourselves time.
Due to the meticulous assessment processes of ISO9001 and BS EN 1090 of which Grand Engineering has, most of the specifications and standards for Constructionline had already been met and, as a result, the application for Constructionline was a near seamless experience for the Grand Engineering team.
What are PQQ’s?
During the tendering process, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) are used to help public sector buyers/purchasers shortlist suppliers where standards of technical ability are required. With all public sector buyers needing to pre-qualify construction suppliers, this process can take time for both buyers and suppliers alike.
PAS 91
PAS 91 (Publicly Available Specification) is a standardised PQQ and is used so each supplier or contractor invited to tender can be assessed to the same criteria. Registering with Constructionline means that the requirements of PAS 91 have been met by the supplier, therefore providing peace of mind for a potential buyer/purchaser as well as saving time for both parties by eliminating the need for a PQQ assessment.

BS EN 1090-1:2009 (8th Dec)
Grand Engineering have recently had our annual audit for BS EN 1090 and is really pleased to say we excelled ourselves – the auditor was really impressed!
